Services for John A. Crockett of Brookhaven were 2 p.m., Monday,April 16, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church with burial in CarverHeights Cemetery. Century Funeral Home was in charge ofarrangements.
Mr. Crockett, 90, died April 13, 2001, at his residence. He wasborn in Franklin County on Aug. 16, 1910, to Allen Crockett andAnna Crockett.
He was retired as a crane operator with Allis Chambers. He was amember of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and his son, James E.Crockett.
Survivors are his daughters, Alberta Sellers, Myrtis Marks,Sandra Bledsoe, and Bessie Freeman; and his sister, ArieMikell.
Edith Mae Britt Presley
Services for Edith Mae Britt Presley of Brookhaven are 3 p.m.,Wednesday, April 18, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.
Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at Brookhaven FuneralHome.
Mrs. Presley, 80, died April 16, 2001, at Natchez RegionalMedical Center. She was born in Copiah County on Jan. 10, 1920, toBennie F. Britt and Alice Ophelia Minton Britt.
She was retired from Co-Lin where she maintained the MaggieFlowers Arts Department. She was a member of Mt. Zion BaptistChurch. She was a member of the Co-Lin Alumni Association.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her brothers, M. D.Britt and Charles Britt; her sister, Myrtis Thomas; and hergrandson, Jon Clay Norton.
Survivors are her sons and daughter-in-law, Don and LethaPresley of Wesson and Dan Presley of Brookhaven; her daughters andsons-in-law, Jena Presley and John A. Norton of Wesson and NancyPresley and Jack McKenzie of Brookhaven; her brothers, BurdetteBritt of Jackson, Jack Britt of Wesson, and David “BB” Britt ofBrandon; her sisters, Ruby Nell Burns of Brandon and Anita Entricanof Wesson; and her grandchildren, Lori Norton Smith, Sarah Norton,Emily Presley, Mattie Presley, Benjamin McKenzie, and NatalieMcKenzie.
