Clyde Dale Drummonds

On May 6, 2005, at home surrounded by loved ones, Dale Drummondswent home to his rest at the age of 70. A native of Copiah County,he resided in the Hazlehurst area most of his life.

Every life is a story and his is filled with a theme of love,respect and generosity of heart toward others. God so blessed himwith a quick wit! He has left many a person with laughter and asmile. His love of the outdoors was evidenced by many stories ofadventures in hunting and fishing which began at an early age withhis father. Although failing health hindered his last years, heenjoyed his favorite pastime, deer hunting, whenever he was able.Having his own unique way of sharing remembered good times withfamily and friends, he will leave a legacy of a ready smile, awilling hand and a true spirit of love for his fellow man.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Vardaman Drummondsin 1979 and his mother, Adelle Barnett Drummonds earlier thisyear.

He is survived by his bride and partner of 50 years, Barbara;one son, Steve Drummonds, of Hazlehurst; and two daughters, PamVerney and son-in-law, Jim, of Delta Junction, Alaska, and MelissaJones and son-in-law, Craig, of Wesson. He has five grandchildren,Anthony, Kendall, Marty, Meagan and Micah; and one great-grandson,Christian. He is survived by one brother, Kenneth Drummonds andsister-in-law, Edith, of Jackson; and numerous nieces andnephews.

Services will be today at First Baptist Church of Hazlehurstwith visitation from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. and funeral servicesat 3 p.m. with interment at Hazlehurst City Cemetery.

Community Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Taulbert ‘T.J.’ Finch Sr.

Services for Taulbert James “T.J.” Finch Sr., of Summit, are 2p.m. today, May 9 at Hartman Funeral Home Chapel in McComb withburial in Hollywood Cemetery. Dr. David Millican, Dr. Mack Amis andBro. Ed Sudduth will officiate the services.

Visitation is today from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Finch, 76, died May 6, 2005, at his residence. He was bornin McComb on Dec. 19, 1928, to Thomas J. and Virginia MartinFinch.

He was a retired pharmacist for Fly’s Drug Store, which he ownedand operated since 1954. He was a graduate of McComb High Schooland the Ole Miss School of Pharmacy in 1950, where he pledged theSigma Nu Fraternity, Epsilon Xi Chapter. He was past-president ofThe Mississippi Pharmacy Association in which he was very active.He was a member of First Baptist Church in McComb.

Mr. Finch was an avid sportsman and member of the FernwoodCountry Club, where he enjoyed playing tennis and golf. He alsoloved to bowl and play bridge, which he enjoyed very much. He was avery good father and loved his grandsons.

Preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers, JohnWillis Finch, Dr. T. Vernon Finch and Edwin Martin Finch; a sister,Elizabeth Finch Spain; a niece, Beth Ann Spain Walsworth; and anephew, Johnny Scott.

Survivors are his wife of 52 years, Charlene Coghlan Finch, ofSummit; his two sons, Taulbert James “Jim” Finch Jr. and his wife,Barbara, of Dryden, Mich., and Charles Thomas Finch, of Summit; adaughter, Kim Rayborn and her husband, Wes, of Philadelphia, Miss.;three grandsons, David Harris, Justin Finch and Jeremy Guillory;three sisters, Virginia Finch Scott, of Whitesboro, Texas, MargaretSue Craft, of West Chester, Pa., and Dr. Flora Finch Cherry, of NewOrleans; and special friends, Willie Moak, Imogene B. Fly, AmertineMcComb and Paulette Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be David Harris, Jeremy Guillory, Justin Finch,Dan Morris, John Finch Spain, Willie Moak, Ennette Hayman Scott andPhilip Cherry.

Memorials may be made to the Horizon Hospice or the SanctuaryFund of First Baptist Church in Philadelphia, Miss.
