Rita Fay Gibson, 77, of Bossier City, La., went to be with theLord on Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010.

Viewing will be held at Riverwood Family Funeral Service inBrookhaven, on Sunday, Dec. 26, from 5 until 8 p.m. Services willbe held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, at Riverwood FamilyFuneral Service Chapel, followed by interment in Riverwood MemorialPark.

Rita was born in Brookhaven, Miss., in 1933. She was married toLloyd Gibson, of Monticello, Miss. Rita and Lloyd have three sons,Mike Gibson of Greenville, Texas; Ron Gibson, of Colorado Springs,Colo.; and Thomas Gibson, of Columbus, Ohio. Lloyd Gibson isretired Air Force Master Sergeant, and Rita and Lloyd traveled allover the world in their 61 years of marriage. Rita attendedBellaire Baptist Church in Bossier City, La.

Rita is survived by her husband, sons and sister Joyce Waterer ofGainesville, Ga.; three grandchildren: John Gibson, ChristinaGibson and David Gibson; and three great-grandchildren: Andrew,Kristin and Matthew Gibson. Rita was preceded by her sister DorisBurge, mother Flora May and father Frank Waterer.
