Graveside services for James Frederick “Fred” Grenn of BogueChitto are 11 a.m. Monday, May 28, at Easthaven Cemetery.
Mr. Grenn, 81, died Friday, May 25, 2001, at Mississippi BaptistMedical Center in Jackson. He was born in Brookhaven on June 22,1919, to the late Edward O. and Ada Hart Grenn.
He was a retired water well driller who owned and operated GrennWater Well and Supply, Inc. for more than 50 years. He was a U.S.Army veteran who served in World War II and in Panama.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Opie C. Grennand Earl E. Grenn; and sisters, Myrtle Parsons, Elsa Burns, HydeeCulver and Blenda Marshall.
Survivors are his wife of 53 years, Effie Jean Maxwell Grenn;daughters, Gloria G. Daughdrill of Brookhaven, Karen Grenn ofJacksonville, Fla., and Janice Kaplan of Brookhaven; brother, R.H.Grenn of Brookhaven; sister, Vesta Brogdon of Slidell, La.; sixgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces andnephews.
Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
