Funeral services for Lois Magdalene Denson Smith, of BogueChitto, are 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 12, at Riverwood FamilyFuneral Service Chapel, with burial in Brister Cemetery in BogueChitto.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Smith, 92, died May 9, 2011, at Brook Manor Nursing Home. Shewas born on May 24, 1918, to Prince Albert Denson and Sina VelmaMcCoy Denson.

She was a homemaker and member of the Widows Club of Bogue Chitto.She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, John VernonSmith; a son, James Rudolph Smith; and two grandchildren, JeffreyGlenn Smith and Caleb Eargle.

Survivors are her sons, John E. Smith of Muscle Shoals, Ala., andSydney G. Smith of Bogue Chitto; her daughters, Juanita S. Shulerof Fletcher, N.C.; Sina Molitor of Hattiesburg and Bertha S.Hernandez of Baton Rouge; her sister, Betty Ann Garcia of San Jose,Calif.; 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
