Services for Audrey S. Laird, of West Lincoln, are 3 p.m. today,July 9, at New Prospect Baptist Church with burial in the churchcemetery. Community Funeral Service is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is today from 2 until 3 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Laird, 76, died July 6, 2006 at her home. She was born onJan. 24, 1930, to Lucien L. Smith and Naomia Stewart Smith.

She was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County, who was raised inthe Enterprise community and lived her adult life in West Lincoln.She was retired from Jacobson Manufacturing. She was also a memberof New Prospect Baptist Church. On March 24, 1948, she marriedHarold Laird. She was loved by all that were blessed to knowher.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her brothers, R.E.Smith, Harvey D. Smith and Harold Estus Hemphill.

Survivors are her sons, Randy Laird and his wife, Mary, of WestLincoln, and Russell Laird and his wife, Sandra, of Brookhaven; herdaughter, Theresia Freeman and her husband, Roy, of Starkville;seven grandsons; four granddaughters; and many loved neices andnephews.

Memorials may be made to Community Hospice and New ProspectChurch Fund.
