Officials touted the benefits of being a member of theBrookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce this morning at theorganization’s quarterly membership breakfast at WesternSizzlin’.
“I’m very proud of where we are and I’m very proud of wherewe’re going,” said Rob McCreary, membership chairman. “Individualcommitment to a team is what makes that group successful. If wedon’t have these people, we can’t be successful.”
McCreary welcomed the organization’s 43 new members sinceSeptember and said membership in the chamber opens up new avenuesfor growth.
Networking opportunities are possibly the largest benefit ofmembership, he said. The chamber provides many opportunities suchas ribbon-cuttings at business openings, events and volunteeringfor new members to meet and expand their business base.
“I promise if you don’t know anyone now, you will after workingwith us,” he said.
