Roy Nielsen

Services for Roy Nielsen, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. Wednesday,May 30, at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Avenue with burial inRamah Baptist Church Cemetery in Franklin County.

Visitation is Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., and again from5 until 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Nielsen, 84, died May 27, 2007, at Rankin Medical Center. Hewas born in Chicago, Ill., on March 29, 1923, to Erling Nielsen andKaroline Ericksen Nielsen.

He was a retired mechanic with Con-Edison Power Co., in NewYork. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a memberof the Lutheran faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his wife, FloreitaAlice Boyd Nielsen.

Survivors are his son, Roy Earl Nielsen, of Flowood; and hisdaughter, Alice Carolyn Nielsen, of Pearl.

Byrd Storey

Graveside services for Byrd Storey, of Brookhaven, were 11 a.m.Tuesday, May 29, at New Sight Baptist Church Cemetery inBrookhaven. Community Funeral Services is in charge ofarrangements.

Mrs. Storey, 72, died May 27, 2007, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter in Brookhaven. She was born on Oct. 23, 1934, to Fred M.Baird and Mary Burton Baird.

She was retired from the Mississippi Department of HumanServices. She was a member of New Sight Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands, JimStorey and John William Brennan; and her brother.

Survivors are her daughter, Mary Ann Brennan, of Vicksburg; andher sisters, Mary Ann Baird, of Brookhaven, and Katherine Turnboughand Ethel Martin, both of California.

Memorials may be made to Southern Care in Brookhaven or theBrookhaven Public Library.
