Nick N. Crawford

Services for Nick N. Crawford of Ridgeland are 11 a.m.Wednesday, Nov. 17 at Southside Assembly of God in Jackson withburial in Jessamine Cemetery in Ridgeland.

Visitation is today from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Natchez Trace FuneralHome in Madison.

Mr. Crawford, 70, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Nov. 15,2004, surrounded by his family at Mississippi Baptist MedicalCenter. He was born in Lennox, Tenn., on March 25, 1934, to Elmerand Lucy Crawford.

He was a naval veteran of the Korean war having served aboardthe USS Wasp from 1952 to 1956. He and his family moved to theBrookhaven/Jackson area in 1980 from Ely, Minn.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and one older sister,Ruth Koch.

Survivors are his wife of 47 1/2 years, Claudette Crawford; hissons, James (Jim) Crawford and his wife, Kathie, of Brookhaven,owners of Northbrook Center and Southern Unique, Edward (Ed)Crawford and his wife, Debi, of Boaz, Ala., Nickie (Nick Jr. ’83)and his wife, Rhonda, of Ridgeland, and Claude (Rusty ’89) Crawfordand his wife, Missy, of Mendenhall; one older sister, Mary Hopkinsof Hobart, Ind.; one younger brother, Louis F. Crawford of Crete,Ill.; and one younger sister, Sharon Kawohl of Hobart; hisgrandchildren, Chris and James Crawford-Huffman, Thomas, Brandon,Claudia, Terri-Lynn, Justin, Bethany, Ian and Delaney Crawford andTravis Olson; two great-grandchildren, Christian and Jaylen; and ahost of nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.

Callie Smith Hunt

Services for Callie Smith Hunt of Meadville are 3 p.m. today,Nov. 16 at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Meadville with burial inMidway Cemetery in Meadville.

Visitation is today from 2-3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hunt, 93, died Nov. 15, 2004, at Franklin MemorialHospital. She was born in Franklin County on Dec. 6, 1910, toRobert F. Smith and Elizabeth Parker Smith.

She was a homemaker. She was a lifetime member of Mt. OliveUnited Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, WaylonHunt Sr.; and one daughter.

Survivors are her daughters, Josie Williamson and Genette Hunt,both of Meadville; her son, Waylon Hunt Jr. of Brookhaven; hersister, Nellie Poole of Natchez; seven grandchildren; and 13great-grandchildren.

Lois M. Lewis

Lois Lewis went to be with the Lord after suffering for manyyears on Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004.

Services for Mrs. Lewis of Bogue Chitto are 1 p.m. today, Nov.16 at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Divide Cemeteryin Lawrence County.

Mrs. Lewis, 87, was born in Jayess, Lawrence County, on July 8,1917, to James Wesley Lambert and Nannie Magee Lambert.

She was a homemaker, retired from employment at KellwoodManufacturing in McComb where she worked in quality control from1952-1970. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church where she wasa member of the WMU women’s group.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and two brothers,Watson Lambert and Maxie Lambert.

Survivors are her husband, Ellzey Lee Lewis; her daughter, FayeL. Milton and her husband, W.C. of Baton Rouge, La.; her sisters,Wessie Mae Calhoun of Jayess, Bonnie Drummond of Baker, La., andRuth Tauchen and Edwina Cash, both of Jackson; her brother, John W.Lambert of Jayess; two grandsons, William Lee Milton and Brett LaneMilton, both of Baton Rouge, La.; and one great-grandson, BlakeLane Milton of Baton Rouge.

Irene Wilcher Rancifer

Services for Irene Wilcher Rancifer of Brookhaven are 11 a.m.Thursday, Nov. 18 at Mary’s Temple Church of God In Christ withburial in Siloam M.B. Church Cemetery. Williams Mortuary is incharge of arrangements.

Mrs. Rancifer, 63, died Oct. 24, 2004, in Brookhaven. She wasborn in Brookhaven on July 22, 1941, to David Wilcher Sr. and EsterMae Wilcher of Brookhaven.

She was retired and a member of Mary’s Temple Church of God InChrist.

Preceding her in death were her father; her husband; and twobrothers.

Survivors are her mother; her daughters, Linda Mustiful and herhusband, Samuel, of McCall Creek, Brenda Byrd and her husband,Billy Wilson, of Brookhaven; her sons, Carl Rancifer and his wife,Pat, of Hercules, Calif., Charles “Ken” Rancifer and his wife,D’Suana, of Antioch, Calif.; her stepsons, Herbert Butler Jr. andKelvin Butler, both of Brookhaven; her sisters, Estell Smith, andher husband, Charlie, of Oakland, Calif., Dorothy Culver and herhusband, Israel, of Wesson, Mary Bryant and her husband, Felix, ofBrandon, Beatrice Nichols and her husband, Bernard, JosephinePrice, Dinah Lewis and Elaine Wilcher, all of Brookhaven; herbrothers, Willie David Wilcher and his wife, Mae Ethel, DavidWilcher Jr. and his wife, Sarah, Larry Wilcher and his wife, Ann,all of Brookhaven, Elder Anthony Wilcher Sr. and his wife, Gladys,of McCall Creek, and Minor Lee Wilcher of Champaign, Ill.; 10grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; eight sisters-in-law; and ahost of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives andfriends.
