Services for J. T. Watson Jr. of Oakvale were 10 a.m.,Wednesday, April 17, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial inOakvale Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Watson, 79, died April 15, 2002, at New Hebron. He was bornin Lincoln County on May 14, 1922, to John Thomas Watson Sr. andMattie Georgia Pell Watson.
He was a retired self-employed welder and mechanic. He was amember of the Masonic Lodge in Monticello. He was an Army veteranof WWII.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brother, HenryAlbert Watson.
Survivors are his wife, Nannie Jewell Kirkland Watson ofOakvale; his sons, Ashley Watson of Silver Creek and Wayne Watsonof Monticello; his daughters, Linda Faye Russell and Patricia AnnNations, both of New Hebron; his brothers, David Watson ofLouisiana and Versie Watson of Brookhaven; his sisters, Mary Carneyof Jayess, Virgie Stephens of Monticello, Geneva Hanson of Walker,La., and Lela Centenio of Denham Springs, La.; and 12 grandchildrenand 21 great-grandchildren.
