Nancy Williamson Andrews
Nancy Williamson Andrews, 67, departed this life May 25, 2008,at her home in McComb.
Services are pending. Jones Family Funeral Services in McComb isin charge of arrangements.
Nancy was born April 25, 1941, in Franklin County, she was thedaughter of Nelline Summers Williamson and Warren W. WilliamsonSr., and moved at an early age with her parents and three siblingsto the McComb area, where she became a lifelong resident.
Mrs. Andrews was a longtime member of West Gate Baptist Church,she attended McComb public schools and graduated from McComb HighSchool in 1959. She attended the University of Mississippi andpledged Phi Mu Sorority, and Mississippi Southern University whereshe received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1969. Nancy taughtwith distinction for 30 years at Parklane Academy and came toregard her Parklane friends as extended family.
She was honored with a Lifetime Achievement in Education Awardin recognition of her many years of dedication and commitment toeducation by the Pike County Chamber of Commerce upon herretirement in 2007. From her earliest childhood years, Nancy lovedlearning, music and books and has been a loving mother, sister,friend and devoted teacher. She leaves behind a legacy of humility,love, servitude and integrity to all who knew her, and will befondly remembered and greatly missed.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, BarbraWilliamson; and a brother, Warren Williamson Jr.
Survivors include her two sons, Todd McDowell Andrews and wifeHollie, of McComb, and Conrad Deaton “Deke” Andrews and wife JulieAnn, of Dubai, United Arab Emirates; one grandson, Cameron LeeAndrews, of McComb; her sister, Kay Williamson Barlow, of Tulsa,Okla.; two nephews, Dr. Bradley Barlow and wife, Carol of Hickory,N.C., and their sons, Bennett and Joshua, also of Hickory, andBuckley Barlow and wife Leanne, of Tulsa, and their children,Katherine and Matthew, also of Tulsa; one uncle, Charlie F.Williamson and wife Mary Beth, of Milton, Fla., and their sons,Chip and Andy; six cousins, Betty Herbert and husband Hurley, ofMcComb, Marjory Summers Hodges, Colleen Summers Calendar, of BogueChitto, Robert Grenn and wife Carol, of New Orleans, Carl Grenn andwife Grace, of McComb, and Arnold Grenn, of McComb.
Honorary surviving family member is Louis Hewitt of Conway,Ark., longtime friend and caregiver, and one special friend, MissMattie, of McComb.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be sent to the American CancerSociety, or to Parklane Academy.
Tiffany Boman
Services for Tiffany Boman, of Brookhaven, will be held at 2p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, at Northview Baptist Church inBrookhaven with burial in Mallalieu Methodist Church Cemetery inBrookhaven. Community Funeral Services is in charge ofarrangements.
Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the church.
Miss Boman, 19, died May 22, 2008, in a car accident. She wasborn in Amory on June 3, 1988.
Preceding her in death were her child, Layton T. Malone; and hergrandfather, Thomas E. Rails.
Survivors are her father, Alton Boman, of Alabama; her mother,Zina Droak and stepfather, Kevin Droak, of Brookhaven; herbrothers, Timothy Boman, of Bogue Chitto, and Andrew Droak, ofBrookhaven; her paternal grandparents, Ruby and Jack Boman, ofAlabama; her maternal grandparents, Sue and Robert Patt, of BogueChitto.
Tony Alonzo Smith
Services for Tony Alonzo Smith, of Atlanta, Ga., and formerly ofBrookhaven, will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, at Mt.Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Brookhaven with burial in thechurch cemetery. Williams Mortuary is in charge ofarrangements.
Visitation is Wednesday from 1 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home,with family hour from 7 until 8 p.m.
Mr. Smith, 47, died May 22, 2008, in Atlanta. He was born inLincoln County on Nov. 3, 1960, to Annisana Smith Sr. and LucilleSmith.
He was a 1977 graduate of West Lincoln High School, and aveteran of the National Guard.
His father preceded him in death.
Survivors are his mother, Lucille Smith, of Brookhaven; hisdaughters, Tanika Perkins and Neoshia Smith, both of Brookhaven;his brothers, Joe W. Smith and wife Emma Jean, Leander V. Smith,Jerome L. Smith and Jeffery Smith, all of Brookhaven, William E.Smith, of Maywood, Ill., Nathaniel B. Smith and wife Myrtis, ofAustell, Gal, Annisana Smith Jr., of Hartford, Conn., Patrick T.Smith and Gaylin E. Smith and wife Javon, all of New Orleans, La.;his sisters, Lou Ida Smith and husband McKinley, of Maywood,Dorothy V. Sutton and Mary Smith, both of Brookhaven, Cynthia M.Diggs and husband Wayne, of Mableton, Ga.; his four grandchildren;and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
