A mechanical mishap cost a Lincoln County man his life Wednesdayevening, said Lincoln County Coroner Clay McMorris.

Steven Wayne Franklin, 36, of 2830 East Lincoln Road, was pinnedwhile he was working underneath his Chevrolet Blazer at hisresidence around 7 p.m. Wednesday, said McMorris. McMorris said thevehicle was on a jack and a drive-up ramp.

“He was working on his truck there at the house and the onlyindication we’ve got is it slipped down on top of him and pinnedhim,” said Lincoln County Sheriff Steve Rushing.

East Lincoln First Responders and King’s Daughters Medical Centerambulance service responded to the accident, said Rushing.

“His wife discovered him and notified us,” the sheriff said.

Funeral services are incomplete.
