West Lincoln’s Luke Lofton was a tower of power Friday night inthe Enterprise gymnasium. The powerful senior forward exploded for30 points and 14 rebounds in leading the Bears to a 61-34 trouncingof the Enterprise Yellow Jackets.

In the varsity girls game, senior guard Dana King pumped in 17points as the Lady Bears whipped Enterprise 57-29.

Enterprise resumes play Monday night, hosting Richland for twovarsity games. Enterprise will play Topeka-Tilton in twopreliminary junior high contests.

The Bears (3-5) got 9 rebounds and 8 points from Stacy Fells.Brooks Smith chipped in 9 points and 8 rebounds. Shane Lynch scored9 points.

“Our team had a great second half,” said West Lincoln coach LaneYoung. “We played better defense on the (Chris) Porter kid.”

Porter, Enterprise’s leading scorer, finished with 19 points 5rebounds, 4 steals and 3 assists. Billy Reeves pulled down 12rebounds and Matt Floyd 5 for the Jackets (0-8, 0-1) who remainedwinless.

“We are getting better from game to game,” said Enterprise coachBilly Vaughn. “We must learn how to improve and play all fourquarters.”

West Lincoln held a 31-22 halftime lead and outscored theJackets 16-3 in the third frame.

The Lady Bears (6-2) raced to a 27-13 halftime lead overEnterprise. They got 9 rebounds from Hannah Johnson and 8 fromHanna Roberts. Alicia Kennedy had 7 rebounds and King 6.

“It was a good win and we got to play a lot of players,” saidCoach Young.

Enterprise (3-6, 1-1) got 8 points and 4 rebounds from KaylinBurke. Ashley Palomarez had 6 rebounds. Erin Johnson made 4assists.

“Both West Lincoln teams played well against us,” said CoachVaughn. “Our girls played well in the first half but they slackedoff in the second.”

Junior High Results

Enterprise beat West Lincoln 27-12 in the junior high girls gameas Savannah Palomarez paced the Lady Jackets with 10 points.Marquisha Frazier an Kacey Rutland each had 5 points.

West Lincoln got 4 points from Kayla Moak.

The Bears beat Enterprise 32-27 in the junior high boys game asAaron Shaw sacked 16 points for West Lincoln. Bradleigh Ricechipped in 8 points.

Enterprise got 11 points fro Justin Scherer. Brandon Robersonscored 8 points and Peyton Green 6.
