Jack D. Hart

Services for Jack D. Hart, of Bogue Chitto, are 11 a.m.Wednesday, May 24, at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Bogue Chittowith burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood Family FuneralService is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Hart, 86, died May 22, 2006, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center. He was born on May 29, 1919, to J.L. “Bob”Hart and Laura Bell Jordan Hart.

He was a retired U.S. Postal Service worker. He was a member ofMt. Moriah Baptist Church. He was veteran of the Air Force andserved during World War II.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his son, Larry JackHart; his great-granddaughter, Sarah Byrd; his brothers, Louis Hartand Roy W. Hart; and his sisters, Mable Hart Williams and MaxieHart Elmer.

Survivors are his wife, Elsie Hickman Hart, of Bogue Chitto; hisdaughter, Elsie Wynn Hart; his two granddaughters, Carol WynnArnold and Ann Martin; his great-grandchildren Megan and AubreeArnold, Susan Burris, Britany Byrd and Brian Byrd; and his niece,Brenda Williams McBride.

Vadie Lee Johns

Services for Vadie Lee Johns, of Wesson, are 11 a.m. today, May23, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Wesson with burial in the churchcemetery. Harrigill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Johns, 85, died May 20, 2006, at Arkansas Hospice in NorthLittle Rock, Ark. She was born on March 12, 1921, to John E. Smithand Alice Foster Smith.

She had worked as an admissions clerk with Hinds GeneralHospital. She was a member of the Baptist faith.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her brothers, JohnClifton Smith, Buck Smith and John E. “Bilbo” Smith; and hersisters, Leola “Gronie” Smith, Hallie Myrtle Walker and Josie DellSmith.

Survivors are her son, Mike Bush, of Brookhaven; her daughter,Marie Jones, of Cabot, Ark.; her sister, Velma Mae Smith, ofWinndale, La.; her three grandchildren and onegreat-grandchild.

Ralph Donald Jones

Services for Ralph Donald Jones, of Meadville, are 10 a.m.Wednesday, May 24, at Siloam Baptist Church in Meadville withburial in the church cemetery. Franklin Funeral Home is in chargeof arrangements.

Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, and onWednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at thechurch.

Mr. Jones, 58, died May 22, 2006, at his residence. He was bornon June 9, 1947, to Ralph S. Jones and Imogene Steele Jones.

He was a retired sergeant with the Department of Corrections forthe State of Louisiana. He was a member of Siloam Baptist Church.He was an Army veteran and served in the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors are his mother, Imogene Steele Jones, of Meadville;his wife, Nadine Freeman Jones, of Meadville; his daughters,Melissa Jones Bullion and Sherry Jones Thibadoux, both ofMeadville; his brothers, Mark Jones, of Houston, Texas, and ChrisJones, of Dallas, Texas; his sisters, Kay Hudson, of Meadville, andBeverly Scott, of McComb; and his three grandchildren.

Hallie Marie Smith

Graveside services for Hallie Marie Smith are 10 a.m. Wednesday,May 24, at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Riverwood FamilyFuneral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Infant Smith died May 18, 2006, at Mississippi Baptist MedicalCenter in Jackson. She was born on May 18, 2006, to Benjie JacobSmith and Deborah Marie Stringer Smith, of Brookhaven.

Survivors are her parents; her twin brother, Jesse B. Smith; hergrandparents, Benjie and Brenda Smith, and Daniel and DeborahStringer; her aunts, Jessica Smith Boone and husband Richard Boone,and Dot Stringer; her uncle, Dan Stringer; and a host ofgreat-grandparents, great-aunts and uncles, and cousins.
