Two rooms damaged in blaze

A Sunday night blaze caused extensive damage to two rooms in thehome of Bill Sones at 310 Oliver Dr., just off Zetus Rd.
The Brookhaven Fire Department was called to the home at 9:30p.m. Sunday where they found a bedroom and bathroom fully involvedin flames, said Captain Gary Beeson.
“The P.D. called us when an alarm at the home went off,” saidBeeson, who credited the quick response with containing the blazeto only two rooms.
The Soneses were out of town at the time of the blaze.
The bedroom and bath suffered extensive damage, said Beeson. Thecause of the blaze is unknown.
Fire department officials estimate the damage to 10 percent ofthe building and 10 percent of the contents.
Officials extinguished the blaze and returned to the station at10:50 p.m.
