Services for Melvin Ray Walker of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.,Wednesday, Dec. 10, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burialin Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5-9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Walker, 57, died Dec. 6, 2003, at St. Dominic’s Hospital inJackson. He was born in Lincoln County on Aug. 2, 1946, to WillieWalker and Mary Irene Case Walker.

He was a retired offshore worker for Shell Oil Company. He was amember of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brothers, BillyRay Walker and Willie Earl Walker.

Survivors are his sons and daughter-in-law, Melvin Dean Walkerand Greg and Jenny Walker, all of Brookhaven; and hisgrandchildren, Jake Walker, Stoney Walker, Ashley Walker and BlakeWalker.
