Frankline candidates named

The Franklin County Circuit Clerk’s office has released theofficial list of candidates who have qualified for 2003 elections.The qualifying deadline was 5 p.m. Saturday.
In unopposed Democratic races are Chancery Clerk Jimmy Jones,Circuit Clerk Millie Thornton, Tax Assessor/Collector Thomas “Jeff”Mullins, Coroner Percy Peeler and Justice Court Judge Post 2 Jerry”Pudgie” Crane.
Candidates for other offices are:
* Supervisor, District 1 – Democrats Woodrow Wilson (incumbent),Troy “Randy” Priest Jr. and Leo “T-Bone” Bradley.
* Supervisor, District 2 – Democrats Chad Smith, Harvey PratherJr. and Buford Davis; and Republican Randy Youngblood.
* Supervisor, District 3 – Democrats Tullie Ford, George Collins(incumbent) and Danny Lee Green.
* Supervisor, District 4 – Democrats W. Dennis Calcote(incumbent), Robert L. Posey and Luther Thomas Jr.; and RepublicanTrent Burris.
* Supervisor, District 5 – Democrats M.L. Ezell and Charles C.Freeman (incumbent); and Republican Harold Leonard.
* Sheriff – Democrats James Newman (incumbent) and LynnOglesby.
* Justice Court Judge, Post 1 – Democrats Ray “Butch” EmfingerJr. (incumbent) and Frankie King.
* Constable, Post 1 – Democrats L. Shelton Earls (incumbent) andCharles E. Brown; and Republican Randy Johnson.
* Constable, Post 2 – Democrats Joe A. Spring (incumbent) andRoger Causey.
