Billy Ray Bozeman

Services for Billy Ray Bozeman of Brookhaven are 1 p.m.,Saturday, June 21, at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church withburial in Old St. John Cemetery in Wesson.

Visitation is Friday from noon – 6 p.m., at Williams Mortuary,and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., at the church.

Mr. Bozeman, 52, died June 16, 2003, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Copiah County on Oct. 7, 1950, to Booker T.”Pat” Bozeman and Pearlie Bozeman.

An auto detailer for Nations Pontiac, Mr. Bozeman was a memberof St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church. He was a 1969 graduate ofParish High School in Hazlehurst and attended Alcorn University forthree years.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Gloria L. Bozeman of Brookhaven; hisdaughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline and Lawrence Harris ofCartersville, Ga.; his son and daughter-in-law, Erik and KimyattaBozeman of Hazlehurst; his son and special friend, Patrick Bozemanand Latonya Little of Hazlehurst; his children’s mother, Mary SueHarris of Hazlehurst; his stepdaughter and stepson-in-law,Antoinette and Leo Paul Garrett of Bay St. Louis; his brother, Leon”Jim” Bozeman of Hazlehurst; his sister and brother-in-law, Estellaand Homer Crawford of Boyle; his grandchildren, Adrianna Bozeman,Raven Harris, Olajuwan Harris and Brandon Harris, all ofCartersville, Erik Bozeman Jr., Kamarya Bozeman and Patrick BozemanJr., all of Hazlehurst, and Leo Paul Garrett II and CameronGarrett, both of Bay St. Louis; and a host of other relatives andfriends.

Edna Brantley Greer

Services for Edna Brantley Greer of McComb are 11 a.m., Friday,June 20, at Catchings Funeral Home with burial in ReevesCemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from 5-8 p.m., and Friday from 9-11 a.m.,at the funeral home.

Mrs. Greer, 78, died June 18, 2003, at her residence. She wasborn in Amite County on Oct. 13, 1924, to H.T. Brantley and GertieSterling Brantley.

She was a homemaker, known for her fried fish. Mrs. Greer was amember of West McComb Baptist Church, where she was a member ofWMU. She was also a member of the homemakers club and was a formerpink lady at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, J.R.Greer; and a son, Morris “Buck” Greer.

Survivors are her daughter, Dobbie Bass of McComb; her sister,Darris Whittington of McComb; her brother, Tom Brantley ofHartsell, Ala.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren;several special friends; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Elder Ray “Bud” Moak

Services for Elder Ray “Bud” Moak of Bogue Chitto are 11 a.m.,Friday, June 20, at Bethel Baptist Church with burial in BethelCemetery. Services will be conducted by the Revs. Huey Moak, JeffDavis and Anthony Yarborough.

Visitation is Thursday from 5-9 p.m., and Friday from 8-10:30a.m., at Brookhaven Funeral Home.

Mr. Moak, 71, died June 18, 2003, at his residence. He was bornin Lincoln County on June 21, 1931, to Julius Moak and ZelmaWallace Moak.

He was a retired dairyman and owned and operated Moak’s DairyFarm for many years. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church andwas an Army veteran who served during the Korean Conflict.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a son, Ronnie Lee Moak;a granddaughter, Katherine Michelle Moak; and a grandson, CaseyLane Sasser.

Survivors are his wife of 52 years, Faye McCaffery Moak of BogueChitto; his sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Susan Moak, andLinda Moak Munn, all of Wesson, and Roger and Veronica Moak andTony and Jenny Moak, all of Bogue Chitto; his daughter andson-in-law, Valerie and Glyn Jones of Bogue Chitto; his brothersand sisters-in-law, Dennis and Bette Moak and Delton and DorothyMoak, all of Bogue Chitto, Delos and Geneva Moak of Brookhaven, andJames and Sue Moak of Summit; his sister and brother-in-law,Malissia and Bert Sasser of Augusta, Ga.; his grandchildren andtheir spouses, Lance and Misty Moak, Shane and Jana Moak, RustyMoak, Jennifer Moak, Ricky and Melodi Moak, Elizabeth Moak, CindyMoak, Daniel Moak, David Moak, Sarah Moak, Tammy and Vience Pevey,Karen Moak, Nicholas Jones, Amie Jones, Jonathan and Shana Sasser,and Benjamin and Chelsea Sasser; his stepgrandsons, Matt Rushingand Chris Rushing; and his great-grandchildren, Heather Moak, HannaMoak, Haley Moak, Cooper Moak, Lauren Sasser, Joshua Sasser andElizabeth Sasser.

Pallbearers will be Lance Moak, Shane Moak, Rusty Moak, RickyMoak, Daniel Moak, David Moak, Jonathan Sasser and BenjaminSasser.
