Services for Mildred Summers Howell of Brookhaven were 10:30a.m., Monday, Dec. 1, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burialin East Lincoln Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Howell, 77, died Nov. 28, 2003, at Rush Memorial Hospitalin Meridian. She was born in Lawrence County on June 29, 1926, toIra Jordan Summers and Hezikiah Summers.
She was retired from Kellwood Co. She was a member of EasthavenBaptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; a sister, Willie MaeCase; and two brothers, Miles Summers and Marvin Summers.
Survivors are her husband, Buel R. Howell of Brookhaven; herdaughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Bill Strahan of Brookhaven,Virginia and Wallace Pope of Bogue Chitto, and Charlotte andOrvalle Martin of Brookhaven; her sisters, Marie Summers and SusieReid, both of Monticello; her brothers, Ford Summers, JohnnySummers and Jimmy Summers, all of Monticello; her grandchildren,Jennifer Barker, Erica Dick, Rebecca Pope, Nathan Martin and MorganTaylor Martin; and her great-grandchildren, Krissy Barker, ShellyBarker, Heather Barker and Zachery Dick.
Philip Lawrence Ivy
Services for Philip Lawrence Ivy of Laurel are 3 p.m., Monday,Dec. 1, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in HollySprings Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is Monday from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the funeralhome.
Mr. Ivy, 38, died Nov. 29, 2003, at Forrest General Hospital inHattiesburg. He was born in Tennessee on Aug. 14, 1965, to MaryCross Ivy and Robert Lee Ivy.
He was a truck driver. He was a member of Fair River BaptistChurch.
Survivors are his parents; his wife, Michele Ivy of Laurel; hisdaughter, Shanan Ivy of Laurel; his son, Nathan Ivy of Laurel; hissister and brother-in-law, Karen and Joey Waldrop of Brookhaven;his niece, Laura Waldrop; and his nephew, Lance Waldrop.

Services for E.C. “Jack” Little of Brookhaven were 11 a.m.,Monday, Dec. 1, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel with burial inRosehill Cemetery.
Mr. Little, 88, died Nov. 28, 2003, at his residence. He wasborn in Union County on June 6, 1915.
He was a civil engineer with Mississippi State HighwayDepartment. He was a Navy veteran, and a member of the Presbyterianfaith.
Preceding him in death were his parents, and his wife, KatherineHardy Little.
Survivors are his daughter, Mary Dalrymple of Arizona; his sons,Thomas H. Little of Brookhaven, and James C. Little of New Albany;five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Adell Smith
Services for Adell Smith of Sontag are 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 2,at Shiloh Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is Monday from 5-9 p.m., and Tuesday from 9 a.m.until 1 p.m., at Wilson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Smith, 75, died Nov. 29, 2003, at St. Dominic Hospital inJackson. She was born on Aug. 18, 1923, to Ela Honea and JessieDouglas Honea.
She was a homemaker, and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Shewas a high school graduate.
Preceding her in death were her parents, and one sister, HildaMurphy.
Survivors are her husband, Jack Smith; her daughter, Linda GailLambert of Sontag; her sons, Ricky Jack Smith and Wayne Smith, bothof Sontag; her sister, Nelda Shows of Pearl; her brother, CalvinHonea of Sontag; eight grandchildren; and fourgreat-grandchildren.
