Services for Carroll Shirley Bardwell of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.,Thursday, Jan. 10, at Union Hall Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at Brookhaven FuneralHome.

Mr. Bardwell, 81, died Jan. 8, 2002, at his residence. He wasborn in Lincoln County on May 14, 1920, to Barber Bardwell andVivian Shirley Bardwell.

He was a retired industrial engineer for Jacobsen Lawnmower. Hewas a member of Union Hall Baptist Church, where he served as adeacon for 56 years, was a Sunday school teacher, church clerk, andchurch treasurer. He had served as Lincoln County Brotherhooddirector. He was an Army veteran of WWII.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brothers, Pauland Howard Bardwell.

Survivors are his wife, Geneva Bardwell of Brookhaven; his sons,Glenn Bardwell of Bedford, Texas, and Mark Bardwell of Brookhaven;his daughter, Vivian Cummings of Purvis; his grandchildren,Stephanie Cummings Brown, Dr. Ricky Cummings, Dr. Ray Cummings,Ryan Bardwell, and Candice Bardwell; his great-grandchild, CarterCummings; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Ministries of Brookhaven.
