W. Lincoln rips Salem

SALEM -West Lincoln’s girls overwhelmed the Salem Lady Wildcats54-28 Monday night, led by guard Dana King’s 20 points. King hitfive treys in the victory.
In the varsity boys game, 15 points and 10 rebounds by SamCollins sparked the Bears to a 56-32 trouncing of Salem.
West Lincoln, coached by Andy Smithie, resumes play Friday,hosting North Pike. A JV boys game starts the tripleheader at 5p.m.
The Lady Bears (8-1) got 7 points, 3 steals, 2 assists and 7rebounds from Lauren Smith. King made 5 assists as West Lincolntook a 24-11 halftime lead.
The Bears (6-3) got 13 points and 8 rebounds from Luke Lofton.Cody Mitchell collected 132 points and 4 rebounds, plus 5 assistsand 4 steals. Brooks Smith had 5 rebounds and 4 assists.
In the JV girls game, West Lincoln posted 44-8 triumph. Eightpoints by Kala Shaw and Chastity Avants directed the rout. AliciaKennedy grabbed 5 rebounds.
