David Brewer
Services for David Brewer, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. Wednesday,Feb. 21, at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive.
Mr. Brewer, 60, died Feb. 19, 2007, at his residence. He wasborn in Lincoln County on Feb. 7, 1947, to D.A. Brewer and Betty V.Britt Brewer.
He was a retired construction worker. He was a member of theBaptist faith.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors are his wife, Sherry Brewer, of Brookhaven; his sons,David Wayland Brewer and Nathan James Lidia, both of Jackson; hisdaughter, Tina Marie Brewer, of Jackson; his grandchildren, EvanRay Golka, Zachary Wayland Wilson Hill and Tressa Bailey Brewer;and his five sisters.
H. Lavon Lofton
Services for H. Lavon Lofton, of Brookhaven, are 1 p.m.Thursday, Feb. 22, at Fair River Baptist Church in Brookhaven withburial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in chargeof arrangements.
Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at BrookhavenFuneral Home on Natchez Drive, and on Thursday from noon until thetime of the service at the church.
Mrs. Lofton, 90, died Feb. 20, 2007, at Haven Hall Health CareCenter. She was born in Lincoln County on Jan. 22, 1917, to HenryFugler and Dillie Jane McGuffie Fugler.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Fair River BaptistChurch.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, L.H.”Punk” Lofton; her great-grandson, Ryan Winham; her sisters, LouiseFoster and Reba Welch; and her brother, James Fugler.
Survivors are her daughters, Janette Cox, of Bossier City, La.,Janice Nations, of Brookhaven, and Martha Jackson, of Laurel; herbrother, Robert Fugler, of Brookhaven; her sister, Aileen Nations,of Brookhaven; her nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren andfour great-great-grandchildren.
Pearlie Mae Thornhill
Services for Pearlie Mae Thornhill, of Monticello, are 2 p.m.Wednesday, Feb. 21, at Powells Grove Pentecostal Church, in Jayess,with burial in the church cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home inMonticello is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Thornhill, 90, died Feb. 19, 2007, at Lawrence CountyHospital. She was born on Aug. 29, 1916, to Abe Nations and EmilyStrange Nations.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Powells GrovePentecostal Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, BerryThornhill; her son, Marcus Thornhill; her grandchild, KathyPatricia Boyd; her great-grandchild, Joanna Howell; and herbrothers and sisters.
Survivors are her daughters, Ola Mae Johnson and Artelia Ard,both of Monticello, and Lynn Boyd, of Tylertown; her fivegrandchildren, five great-grandchildren and onegreat-great-grandchild.
