BOGUE CHITTO – The Class 1A Bogue Chitto Lady Bobcats handed theClass 4A Brookhaven Lady Panthers a 6-0 loss Thursday night.

Kia Porter struck out two batters for the win and Mandy Vinsonabsorbed the loss.

Randi Moak, Marquita Ratcliff and Meleah Brown powered BogueChitto with two singles apiece. Singling were Amber Maldonado,Karen Wallace, Candace Braxton and Amanda Wallace.

Powering Brookhaven with two singles was Devine Porter.Chuvaquah Smith and Samantha Boutwell hit safely.

In the junior varsity game, Brookhaven downed BogueChitto 10-2. Wendy Fairchild was the losing hurler and had twosingles. Dori Hall, Candace Avants, Stanci Long and Akia Nelson hitsafely.

Bogue Chitto improved to 10-1 on the season and remains6-0 in district play. The Lady Bobcats face the winner of the NorthPike-Wesson game Saturday morning in the North PikeTournament.

Next week, Bogue Chitto visits Enterprise Monday andhosts West Lincoln Thursday.
