Johnnie E. Daniel
Services for Johnnie E. Daniel of Meadville are 3 p.m., Monday,Aug. 7, at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel with burial in MidwayCemetery.
Mr. Daniel, 60, died Aug. 5, 2000, at his residence. He was bornin Bruce on Nov. 29, 1939, to John Nolan Daniel and Verlon RuthellHardy Daniel.
He was retired from the Mississippi Department ofTransportation. He was a member of Meadville Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and his sister, WandaDucker.
Survivors are his son, John E. Daniel Jr. of Walker, La.; hisdaughter, Gaye Stafford of Walker, La.; his brother, Billy Danielof Meadville; and two grandchildren.
Harry T. Henley Sr.
Services for Harry T. Henley Sr. of Brookhaven are 11 a.m.,Wednesday, Aug. 9, at Williams Mortuary Chapel with burial inCarver Heights Cemetery.
Visitation is Tuesday, Aug. 8, from noon until 6 p.m. atWilliams Mortuary.
Mr. Henley died Aug. 3, 2000, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Carolton on Sept. 15, 1914, to VictoriaHenley. He attended Piney Woods Country Life School.
He was retired after 38 years with All-Steel in Aurora, Ill.,where he was a welder.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wives, Mary Henleyand Ruby Lee Henley; and his daughters, Roslie Smith and LuannHouge.
Survivors are his wife, Lillie Mae Henley of Brookhaven; hisson, Harry T. Henley Jr. of Denver, Colo.; his stepdaughters, NancyCunigan and Lesly Peterson, both of Los Angeles, and Linda Woodsonof Chicago; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Doris Barr Sumrall
Graveside services for Doris Barr Sumrall of Clinton are 3 p.m.,Tuesday, Aug. 8, at Wintergreen Cemetery in Port Gibson.
Visitation is 1 p.m. Tuesday at Glenwood Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sumrall, 65, died Aug. 5, 2000, of cancer at her residence.She had lived in Port Gibson for 20 years before moving to Clintonin 1969.
She was retired, having owned and operated Buckley’s Cleanersfor 26 years. She was a member of Morrison Heights BaptistChurch.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Billy Ray Sumrall.
Survivors are her son, Buster Sumrall of Jackson; her mother,Jennie Barr of Port Gibson; her sisters, Wilma Blaylock of Jayessand Gwen Boren of Port Gibson; and two grandchildren.
