Services for Walter “Avery” Bailey, of Lucien, are 11 a.m.Wednesday, March 18, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapelwith burial in Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Bailey, 45, died March 15, 2009, at the University ofMississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was born on Sept. 21,1963, to John Walter Bailey and Sandra Beth Cupit Bailey.

He worked for Denbury Resources Inc. He was a member of DamascusBaptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Sammye Bailey; his sons, Taylor AveryBailey and John Trey Bailey; his sisters; Sherri Bailey Barstis andMichaelan Bailey, both of Jackson; a father and mother-in-law,Jerry and Margaret Crane, of Lucien; an aunt, Bobbi Wettach, ofJackson; a niece, Bailey Fomby; and a nephew, ChristopherFomby.
