Fourth arrest made in sex assault case

WESSON – Copiah-Lincoln Community College officials confirmedMonday that a fourth arrest has been made in last week’s allegedsexual assault, but say they feel like they’re nearing the end ofthe investigation.
Damonte Ramone Glover, 20, of Jackson, was arrested and chargedwith rape Monday in connection with an alleged sexual assault of afemale freshman that took place on Tuesday night of last week. Twoother men, Timothy Graves and Antonio Davis, both 18, were chargedwith rape at the end of last week. Justin Sandifer, 19, was chargedwith sodomy.
Glover, Graves and Sandifer are all Co-Lin students. Bond wasset at $25,000 in the first three arrests, but Glover’s has notbeen set.
Co-Lin President Ronnie Nettles said school officials lookforward to putting the situation behind them once it isresolved.
“We feel like it’s nearing completion, and at some point, we’llbe able to turn it over to the district attorney’s office,” hesaid.
Nettles said school officials have also kept up with the victimof the attack, and are hoping for the best for her.
“We have had contact with her,” he said, adding that she isdoing fine under the circumstances. “We understand that she hastentative plans to return to school at some point.”
