A Sunday fire has resulted in the death of 33-year-old DarylAnton, of Jayess, and authorities are investigating the blaze as apossible arson, said Lincoln County Deputy Coroner RobertTyler.

Anton’s home, which was a total loss, was located at 4185 ArdTrl., Jayess.

According to Tyler, Anton’s body was found in the back bedroomof his home and was burnt beyond recognition. Tyler pronouncedAnton dead at 1 p.m.

Tyler cited “suspicious circumstances” for ordering anautopsy.

Tyler said preliminary results should be available late Tuesdayor early Wednesday. Williams Mortuary will be in charge ofarrangements.

Anton’s death is being investigated by Lincoln County ArsonInvestigator Dustin Bairfield and the Lincoln County Sheriff’sDepartment. Department officials were unavailable for comment thismorning.
