Funeral services for Celestia Mae Leavy, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 20, at Marshall Funeral Home, with burial in Hopewell Cemetery. Victor Mackebee will officiate.

     Visitation is Monday from 9 until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

     Mrs. Leavy, 83, died Aug. 15, 2012, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. She was born in Hopewell on March 10, 1929, to Spurgeon and Loretta Hooker McAbee.

     Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Wilson Leavy; and son, Edward Earl Leavy.

     Survivors are her sons, Willie Leavy and wife, Jerenita, Wilson Leavy Jr. and wife, Sally, Richard Leavy and Joseph Joe Leavy; daughters, Shirley Ann Leavy, Bernice Wilson and husband, Mackie, and Secresia Jones; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
