Funeral services for Doris Shelton will be held at 11 a.m. onWednesday, Oct. 27, at Stringer Family Chapel in Hazlehurst, withburial in Shelton Cemetery in Pattison. Stringer Family FuneralServices in Hazlehurst is handling arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday at StringerFamily Funeral Home in Hazlehurst.

Mrs. Shelton, 55, passed away on Oct. 23, 2010. She was a native ofWinsner, La., and had lived in Copiah County for 35 years. She wasa member of Brandywine United Methodist Church. She was a retiredline operator from Delphi Manufacturing.

She is survived by her husband, James L. Shelton, of Pattison; hersons, Lavon Parker and wife Susan, of Byram, Chris Sanders and wifeYvonne, of Madison, Ala., and Dustin Shelton and wife Chassity, ofCrystal Springs; her brothers, Hester “Hoopy” Qualls Jr., of Ft.Bragg, N.C., William “Buddy” Floyd Compton Jr., of Wisner, La.; hersisters, Jeanette Trahern, of Baskin, La., and Darlene Swann ofDallas, Texas; six grandchildren, Lester Lavon Parker Jr., NoelParker, Colleen Parker, Arin Coley, Bronwyn Sanders and EleriSanders; and her great-grandson, Brandon Ainsworth.
