Services for Lillian B. Crane of Monticello are 11 a.m.,Thursday, Aug. 4, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial inCarmel Cemetery in Monticello. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5-9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mrs. Crane, 77, died Aug. 2, 2005, at her residence. She wasborn on Dec. 12, 1927, to Ernest Burns and Lillian BartleyFinke.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Lawrence CatholicChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, EuellCrane.

Survivors are her son, Glen Crane of Monticello; her daughter,Belinda Lott of Monticello; her sister, Pat Kirspel of Covington,La.; her sister-in-law, Faye Walker of Moss Point; fourgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces andnephews.

Napoleon B. Parker Sr.

Services for Napoleon B. Parker Sr. of Brookhaven are 11 a.m.,Thursday, Aug. 4, at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church withburial in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from noon until 5 p.m., at MarshallFuneral Home, and Thursday from 9-11 a.m. at the church.

Mr. Parker, 86, died July 29, 2005, in Summit. He was born inNewellton, La. on July, 16, 1919, to Markus and Mammie Parker.

He was an Army veteran. During his tour, he received fiveOverseas Service Bars, one Service Stripe, an Asiatic PacificTheater Ribbon with one Bronze Battle Star, a Good Conduct Medal,and the World War II Victory Medal.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two sisters, BeulahSkinner and Mary Lou Parker; and a son, Napoleon B. Parker II.

Survivors are his wife, Lou Ella Parker; three grandchildren andtheir spouses, Felecia and Willie Augustus of Baton Rouge, La.,Pamela and Ronnie Fontenot of Lake Charles, La., and NapoleonParker III; two great-grandchildren, Kadijah Augustus and WillieAugustus III of Baton Rouge, La.; one brother-in-law, Wiley AdamsSr. of Brookhaven; one sister-in-law and her spouse, Lucretia andWilliam Hardwick of Chicago, Ill; and a host of nieces, nephews,adopted children, and other relatives and friends.

Services for Hughlon Smith of Brookhaven are 10 a.m., Thursday,Aug. 4, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in FriendshipBaptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5-9 p.m., at Friendship BaptistChurch Cemetery.

Mr. Smith, 81, died Aug. 2, 2005, at Country Brook LivingCenter. He was born in Lincoln County on Oct. 17, 1923, to PearlieSmith and Louella Smith Smith.

He was a retired mechanic. He was a member of Friendship BaptistChurch. He was a disabled veteran of the Army, with service inWorld War II.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his son, Roger HughSmith; two sisters, Ruthie Dunn Smith and Ava Watts; and herbrother, Hollis Smith.

Survivors are his sister, Ruby Lofton of Bogue Chitto; fivenephews; and one niece.
