Brookhaven Academy head football coach Bo Milton and seniorstandouts Price Sessums and Bradley Allred have been named to theMPSA South All-Star football team. Milton is one of four coaches onthe South All-Star team.

The South meets the North Thursday at 6 p.m. on Robinson-HaleField at Mississippi College in Clinton.

Brookhaven Academy fell to Porters Chapel 33-21 in thesemifinals of South State AA playoffs. BA finished its season withan 11-2 record.

This is the third time in his 12-year coaching career thatMilton has been named as a coach in the All-Star game. The headcoach is Mac Barnes from Lamar School. Assistant coaches are MackNorwood from Madison Ridgeland Academy, David King from TrinityEpiscopal in Natchez and Milton.

“This is a great honor,” said Milton. “It’s good to get to bearound the kids again.”

Milton said both Sessums and Allred deserved the honors.

“Price is one of the best kids I have coached in 12 years,”stated Milton. “Bradley is as physical a defensive player as I havebeen around.”

Sessums (5-9, 160) finished his quarterbacking career at BA with8,500 total yards and 111 touchdowns. During his senior year, herushed the football 218 times for 2,224 yards and 31 touchdowns.Sessums totaled 3,304 yards on offense and 47 TDs. On defense, heplayed defensive back.

“It’s exciting,” said Sessums. “We get to play one moregame.”

Allred (6-1, 215) played fullback and defensive end. He wrappedup his senior year with 72 tackles.

“It’s a privilege to get to play in it,” stated Allred. “It’sour last chance to play for coach.”

Milton looks forward to coaching Sessums and Allred one moretime.

“Both are very good young men,” added Milton. “They have a lotof good attributes. I look forward to working with them one moreweek.”

Also on the South squad are Jake Guess of the Class AA statechamp Copiah Academy Colonels and Brice Wilkinson and TylerCunningham of McComb Parklane.

“We are proud Guess is getting the opportunity,” said Copiahhead football coach Mitch Mitchell. “He is very deserving of it. Wehope he plays as well as he did the past few weeks.”

Guess starred at running back and linebacker for theColonels.
