Sarah Elizabeth “Betsy” Bee, 84, died Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, inTallahassee, Fla.
The service will be at 11 a.m. (Eastern Daylight Time) Friday,Sept. 18, 2009, at Faith Presbyterian Church in Tallahassee.
Following the memorial service, a celebration of Betsy’s lifewill take place at the home of Nancy and Park Adams, 999 Live OakPlantation Road in Tallahassee.
Mrs. Bee was born Oct. 8, 1924, in Brookhaven to Marguerite andJohn Willard Bee. After graduating from Mississippi State Collegefor Women in Columbus, she married Dr. Warren Nation and moved toTallahassee in the 1950s.
She later retired after many years with the State Office ofAttorney General in Florida as well as the State Office of theGovernor in Florida. Following her retirement, she pursued her manyinterests, which included writing, drama, bridge and her volunteerwork at Faith Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Adams (Park); her son,John Nation (Elaine); and her grandchildren, Will Gerstman, NicoleNation and Savannah Nation, all of Tallahassee. She is alsosurvived by her brother, Monte Bee (Jean), of Jackson; and manyother loving family members. She will also be missed by her manylongtime friends.
