Services for Kobie Jermaine “Nu Nu” Cotton Sr., of Baker, La.,were 1 p.m. Saturday, June 6, at the Homochitto AssociationBuilding in Gloster with burial in Damascus Cemetery. MarshallFuneral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Cotton, 30, died May 31, 2009, at Field Memorial Hospital inCentreville. He was born in Chicago, Ill. on Jan. 11, 1979, to LoisCotton-Jones and Thomas C. Jackson.
Preceding him in death were his maternal grandparents, L. C. andRuthie Cotton; his paternal grandfather, Prince Jackson; his aunt,Wilma Norman; and three uncles.
Survivors are his daughters, Kamyra Cotton and Ku’Nyria Cotton;his sons, Kobie Cotton Jr., JaKobie Butler and JaCarri Cotton; hisparents; his brother, Kenneth “KJ” Jones; his sister, Kenyiatta”Nanaye” Jones; the mothers of his children, Sherrie Webb andMelinda Butler; two godbrothers; 16 aunts; eight uncles; and manyother relatives and friends.
