Foster first Hometown Bucks winner

The DAILY LEADER’s Hometown Christmas promotion got under waylast week and Brenda Foster is the first winner of $100 in HometownBucks.
Foster, who said she usually lacks the good fortune it takes towin prizes, registered at Just Kiddin’ on Nov. 9 while shoppingwith her daughter, Madison, 6. Foster, who has lived in Brookhavennearly her own life, said it feels “really good” to receive theHometown Bucks.
“Usually I don’t win anything,” Foster said. “It comes in handyright here around Christmas.”
While sitting in Just Kiddin’ absorbing the atmosphere and lettingher eyes wander over the merchandise, Foster spoke about her plansto spend the Hometown Bucks on her daughter.
“I’ll spend it pretty much on horse stuff. She’s a big horse fan,”Foster said. “She also likes to paint and I see a horse paintingkit in the store.”
Foster, an employee at Brookhaven Internal Medicine, spoke abouthow thrilled she was that Just Kiddin’ supplies the elusive Breyerbrand horse toys that her daughter loves. Just Kiddin’, locateddowntown at 203 S. Railroad Avenue, is filled with a wide varietyof toys for all ages.
The DAILY LEADER’s Hometown Christmas promotion awards one winnerwith $100 in Hometown Bucks to use at participating businessesevery week. In the sixth and final week, one lucky grand prizewinner will receive $500 in Hometown Bucks.

Shoppers can register to win Hometown Bucks by signing up at any ofthe participating businesses. Designated boxes are on display toaccept entry forms.
