Funeral services for Agnes Elaine Smith, ofBrookhaven, are 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 10, at New Hope Church ofChrist in Brookhaven with burial in the church cemetery. BrookhavenFuneral Home on Natchez Drive is in charge of arrangements.

    Visitation is Sunday from 3 p.m. until the time of the service atthe church.

    Mrs. Smith, 74, died July 8, 2011, at Golden Living Center – BrookManor. She was born on Jan. 21, 1937, to Bert Herring and LoisEllington Herring.

    She was retired from Brook Manor, where she had served as dietarymanager. She was a member of New Hope Church of Christ.

    Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, M. RalphSmith; and her brother, Vernon Herring.

    Survivors are her sons, Wayne Smith and wife, Tina, and ReggieSmith and wife, Irene, all of Brookhaven; her brother, JamesHerring, of Brookhaven; her sisters, Betty Walker, Judy Burns andFaye Smith, all of Brookhaven; five grandchildren; and sevengreat-grandchildren.
