Services for Watson Diggs Jr. of Brookhaven are 11 a.m. Monday,July 7, at Ebenezer AME Church with burial in the churchcemetery.

Visitation is Sunday, July 6, from 2-5 p.m. at R.E. TylerFuneral Home and Monday, July 7, from 10-11 a.m. at the church.

Mr. Diggs, 74, died July 2, 2003, at St. Michael’s Hospital inMilwaukee. He was born in Brookhaven on July 19, 1928, to the lateWatson Sr. and Berniece Tillman Diggs.

He was a former brick mason for the Ladish Company in Milwaukee.He was a member of Ebenezer AME Church in Brookhaven.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Mary CovingtonDiggs; and a sister, Mable Smith.

Survivors are his sons, Watson Diggs III and Bernard Diggs, bothof Milwaukee; daughters, Patricia Diggs of Washington, D.C., andWanita Diggs of Milwaukee; a sister, Mildred Bogan of Fayette; fourgrandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a host of nieces andnephews.
