Dear Editor,
Gov. Haley Barbour has called another special session, this oneto get a budget passed. Included on the agenda will be his economicdevelopment plan aimed at luring new business to Mississippi, bringing jobs and much needed revenue.
We need to get behind this bill and get it passed. The statemust become financially solvent, and jobs are needed for this tobecome a reality. Mississippians are depending on their electedofficials and asking that special interests and partisan politicsbe left at home and that each member of the House bring onlyconscience and integrity to the special session, so that we canbring our state out of the dark ages and become competitive withother states.
We can be great, but only with cooperation.
Pat Morris,
Biloxi
