New resident killed in 4-wheeler accident

A newly relocated Lincoln County woman was killed while ridingalone on her all-terrain vehicle on Thompson Lane Sunday afternoon,authorities said.
Lisa Dawn Douglas, 43, of 3638 Huhn Lane, Ruth, was pronounceddead on the scene around 5:15 p.m., Lincoln County coroner ClayMcMorris said.
Sheriff Steve Rushing said Douglas appeared to be traveling easton Thompson Road when the accident occurred. He said there were nowitnesses to the accident.
McMorris said Douglas had been riding her four-wheeler along thecreek in that area close to 4:30 p.m. when the ATV left the roadjust before the intersection of Thompson Road and Highway 583.
“It looks like when she came around the curve approaching 583 onThompson Lane, she lost control and hit an embankment,” hesaid.
Douglas had only lived at the address on Huhn Lane for a day,McMorris said. She had recently relocated to Lincoln County fromOxford.
McMorris said Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland will handle thearrangements, which are incomplete.
