Services for Ollie B. Magee, of Sontag, are 2 p.m. Saturday,Feb. 7, at Pine Grove M.B. Church in Sontag with burial in thechurch cemetery. Williams Mortuary is in charge ofarrangements.
Mr. Magee, 58, died Jan. 28, 2009, in Boyce, La. He was born inSontag on Oct. 16, 1950, to Robert Magee and Allie Mae BarnesMagee.
He was a 1968 graduate of Eva H. Harris High School. He was atruck driver for S&S Dragline in Brookhaven. Mr. Magee servedin the U.S. Army. He was a member of Pine Grove M.B. Church, wherehe served as assistant Sunday school superintendent.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his daughters, RaquelMagee and Stephanie Magee; and his brothers, Cal Robert Magee Sr.,Obie Howard Magee and Excell Magee.
Survivors are his wife, Catherine H. Magee, of Sontag; a son,Darrel Magee and wife, Cinda, of Salt Lake City, Utah; hisdaughters, Shernicki Heard, of Canton, Ohio, Geneva Griffin, ofMonticello, and Lawanna Heard, of Sontag; his sisters, BessieBarnes, of Fontana, Calif., and Jessie Mae Locke and husband,Donald, of Los Angeles, Calif.; his brothers, Vester Lee Magee andwife, Ruth, of San Antonio, Texas, Lonnie Ray Magee, of LosAngeles, and Louis James Magee and wife, Katie, of Sontag; hisseven grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews,other relatives and many dear friends.
