No services for Samuel N. Laird of Snollville, Ga., planned. Heis to be cremated.

Mr. Laird, 84, died Monday, June 3, 2002, in Snollville. He wasborn in McCall Creek to the late Curtis and Ora Cowert Laird.

He was a retired writer. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World WarII.

Preceding him in death were his parents and wife, Loy FosterLaird.

Survivors are his sons, Larry Laird of Lilburn, Ga., and SamuelC. Laird of Conyers, Ga.; daughters, Dr. Becky Laird of Winder,Ga., and Loy L. McCandeless of Atlanta; and sevengrandchildren.
