Services for Sedgie Ford “Jr.” Bozeman Jr., of Monticello, willbe held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19, at Hepzabah Baptist Church inSilver Creek with burial in Hepzabah Cemetery. Wilson Funeral Homein Monticello is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Bozeman, 76, died Oct. 16, 2007, at Lawrence County NursingCenter. He was born on March 29, 1931, to Sedgie Bozeman Sr. andFlora Mae Pevey Bozeman. He was a lifetime resident of LawrenceCounty.

He was retired from work in the oilfield, and was the formerowner of Bozeman’s Mechanic Shop, where he was also a mechanic. Hewas a member of Riverside Baptist Church. He was a United StatesArmy veteran of the Korean War. He and his wife of 48 yearsprovided for and raised 10 children in the church. He had a passionfor race cars, and built motors as a hobby.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, AudreyReynolds Bozeman; and his daughter, Melissa B. Buchanan.

Survivors are his sons, Shaun Bozeman, Ricky Bozeman, Jeffrey F.Bozeman and Jammie Bozeman, all of Monticello, and Michael Bozeman,of Silver Creek; his daughters, Pam Owens, of Brookhaven, DebbieStanley, of Monticello, Janet Bozeman Olivier, of Marrero, La., andKasi B. Howse, of Glen Burnie, Md.; his brothers, Paul WayneBozeman and James W. Bozeman, both of Silver Creek; his sisters,Casceal Kyzar, of Laurel, and Willie Pearl Wallace, of Brandon; his31 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
