A Copiah County teenager died Saturday inJackson after sustaining injuries in an all-terrain vehicleaccident more than a week ago, family friends and officialssaid.

    Colby Duane Porter, 14, of Wesson, died at the University ofMississippi Medical Center in Jackson Saturday. He had beenairlifted to the facility after being hurt in an ATV accidentFriday night, Nov. 18, on Sylvarena Road.

    Porter was a ninth-grade student at Wesson Attendance Center wherehe was active in a variety of sports. He was a member of Zion HillBaptist Church and an active member of Wesson Baptist StudentMinistry.

    Funeral services are Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Churchin Wesson. Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst is in chargeof arrangements.

    Visitation is Monday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
