Funeral services for J.R. “James” Leming of Brookhaven are 10 a.m. on Friday, March 22, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, with burial at 3:30 p.m. in High Hill Cemetery in Sebastopol.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Leming, 79, died March 18, 2013 at his home. He was born in Mississippi on Nov. 5, 1933 to Arthur Leming and Elsie Renfroe Leming.

He worked for Illinois Central Railroad and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Mr. Leming served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and brother, Doyle Leming.

Survivors are his wife of 59 years, Audra Genell Johnson Leming; son, Keith and wife, Tally; daughter, Arlene and husband, Guy; brother, Wayne Leming; five grandchildren, Michelle Leming, Melissa Leming, Mandi Leming, Michael Davis and wife, Takae, and Rebecca Davis; and three great-grandchildren.
