WESSON – The Mississippi Association ofCommunity and Junior Colleges (MACJC) has named the Copiah-LincolnCommunity College men’s tennis team the top Academic Team of theYear in the state with a 3.473 grade point average. Co-Lin iscoached by Mike McIntyre.

    The East Central Community College softball team took top honors inthe women’s division with a 3.692 GPA.

     “This is a tremendousaccomplishment by Coach McIntyre and our student-athletes,” saidCo-Lin President Dr. Ronnie Nettles. “Coach McIntyre’s teams arerecognized year after year for their efforts in the classroom. Wetake tremendous pride in our student’s academic and athleticsuccess.”

    McIntyre’s team was recently named the National Association ofCommunity and Junior College’s No. 2 Academic Team of the Year inmen’s tennis. The Wolfpack have finished No. 1 in 2002, 2005, 2007and 2008; No. 2 in 2004, 2006, 2009 and 2011; and No. 3 in2003.

    Since 2000, Co-Lin has produced 89 student-athletes that have beenrecognized for Academic Achievement Awards.
