Ruth sees storm damage

Several buildings in the Ruth area in southeastern LincolnCounty sustained damage during a storm that passed through Mondayevening, said Sheriff Steve Rushing.
The Ruth store, church and some other stuctures near theintersection of Highway 583 and Highway 570 was where the mostdamage was seen, the sheriff said. There were no injuries reported,he added.
The Ruth Volunteer Fire Department below the intersection alsosustained damage. A number of trees were reported down in the area,Rushing said.
“We’re out now trying to clear some roads that had trees down,”the sheriff said.
Rushing said the Moak’s Creek area also had storm damage, but hedid not have any additional details.
