Millard Smith (right) receives an award for 60 years of continuous service from Keith Reeves, of the Brookhaven chapter of the American Legion, Thursday afternoon at the Jimmy Furlow Senior Citizen Center. Smith is a World War II veteran who served as a ground crew mechanic on B-17 bombers.
