Services for Georgia Hegwood Bounds of Brookhaven, and formerlyof Raleigh, are 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 4, at First Baptist Churchof Raleigh with burial in North Raleigh Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at BrookhavenFuneral Home and from 5-8 p.m. at Colonial Chapel in Raleigh.

Mrs. Bounds, 87, died Aug. 1, 2001, at her residence. She wasborn in Smith County on Sept. 13, 1913, to James Hegwood and IdaEthridge Hegwood.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church,Raleigh, where she was a member of the “Happiness Is” Choir.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, ShelbyBounds; her son, James Albert Bounds; and her daughter-in-law,Marilyn Westmoreland Bounds.

Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Melody Boundsof Brookhaven; her daughter and son-in-law, Shelby and Jack Cobb ofHurst, Texas; her sisters, Mary Keys and Allie Bea Huff, both ofQuitman; and her granddaughter, Dee Anne Bounds of Mize.
