The winless Enterprise Yellow Jackets suffered a disappointing 52-0 shutout to the Leake County Gators Friday night in high school football action.
“Leake County has a strong and physical ball club,” said Enterprise coach Brooke Burns. “Our guys played hard and did not quit. We were just out matched in size and depth.”
Senior running back Jackson Cole was the offensive leader for the win-starved Jackets (0-4) with 20 carries for 128 yards rushing. Neal Ratcliff provided 21 yards rushing on two carries.
Defensively, Cole paced Enterprise with 14 tackles. Jake Case contributed 7 stops.
The Jackets will have an open date this Friday to nurse their injured players. Enterprise resumes action September 27 as they prepare to invade Sandhill to battle the Pisgah Lady Dragons.
