A camellia presented to the Lincoln County Public Library approximately 40 years ago has been removed and relocated.
The Library is undergoing new landscaping in front of the building. Members of the Brookhaven Camellia Society stepped in to take the camellia there and replant it at the Frank and Kay Burns Memorial Camellia Trail at The Homestead on Hwy. 51 South.
The plants can live for hundreds of years.
“Hopefully, it will acclimate to its new home to be appreciated for many more years as a fine addition to the others there,” said Society member Bill Perkins.
