BOGUE CHITTO — Power is out for over three hundred customers in Lincoln County as of 11:55 a.m.. The power outage comes as strong winds are forecast for the area today.

National Weather Service warns sustained wind speeds could reach 20 to 25 mph with gusts reaching 30 to 40 mph which could cause weakened trees and limbs to fall.

Magnolia Electric reports 225 customers are without power in Lincoln County. Many of those customers live in Bogue Chitto while a separate group of customers in West Lincoln.

Southwest Electric reports 171 customers are without power in north Lincoln County and 95 Entergy customers are without power in areas around Brookhaven.
